Abstract
 

Verifying an identity claim is at the core of every security problem. Voiceprint authentication is a biometric security method that has come of age because of its cost effectiveness. 

 

The first half of the presentation will be general overview of biometrics. After basic understanding of issues in biometrics, the focus then moves on to voiceprint technology and its applications or integrations.

Dave Lipin is the Vice President of Engineering and Co-Founder of Vocent Solutions, Inc., the leader in voiceprint authentication solutions for Help Desks and Customer Service Contact Centers. Dave provides leadership for Vocentˇ¦s engineering vision, process methodology, systems architecture, e business integration and recruiting of key engineers.

Prior to Vocent, Dave was the Vice President of Development at TenFold Corporation (an 800-employee company specializing in rapid development and deployment of large-scale business applications using proprietary, data-driven technology and revolutionary applications-building and software engineering practices). While at TenFold, Dave created and managed the company's automated software certification and release system. Prior to TenFold, Dave served as Director of Operations for Tanner Research.
