The NATEA-HQ is proudly organizing a Taiwan Visiting Delegation through the assistance of the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) of Taiwan.
The delegation activity will start on April 16, and end on April 20, 2018.
The main purposes are as follows:
There are 25 delegates from several different regional chapters including those from Taiwan who have signed up to join this Delegation scheduling from April 16 through April 20, 2018. The proposed visiting facilities in Taiwan are: Kaohsiung City government / Kaohsiung Software Park / NSYSU Incubation Center on April 16; Tainan Science Park/Tainan city government/Sher Lu Green Energy facility and NCKU Start-Up Incubation Center on April 17;
Taichung city government / Taichung Precision Machinery Park on April 18; ITRI Headquarters in Hsinchu / TAITRA in Taipei on April 19; The last day to visit President Tsai, Premier Lai on April 20 including the Minister of Science and Technology, the Minister of Economic Affairs; TAITRA; and OCAC.
- To share NATEA experience in science and technology arena with Taiwan government and private business sectors in certain technical fields such as IoT, Smart City, Green Energy and Artificial Intelligence.
- To facilitate building the NATEA young entrepreneur technologist platform between Taiwan and US /Canada.
- To mutually understand what and how NATEA can be in assistance for recruiting the overseas talented professions, financial and technology investment for Taiwan government and private business sectors.

The HQ President Emeritus John Pang Yu presented the brief NATEA Introduction to Dr. James C. Liao, the President of Academia Sinica (中央研究院院長 ) prior to meeting with him in person while Dr. Liao was co-organizing the Bilateral Joint Symposium with UC Davis, in Davis, California from January 22 - 23, 2018.
We are pleased to announce that, after having face-to-face meeting with John and brief discussion about NATEA missions and accomplishments on January 22, Dr. James C. Liao accepted our invitation to be one of NATEA Honorary Council Members with indefinite term.
